i-trio: Three unique musicians got together. The sources of this inspired trio are the compositions of the founder, the guitar player Jan Trösch. Fresh guitar sounds, complex harmonic and rhythmic ideas are his feature. The Band never only acts either kind or noisy. This trio understands how to express a wide range of musical moods. The stylistic bandwidth reaches from soft and moony sounds until sharp and expressive ideas. The bassist Pierre Sottas contributes his solid rhythmic feeling along with his characteristic improvisation skills. The drummer, Urs Wittwer, provides a rhythmic and colorful base for the band. All these components result in a thaw of Rock- World- and Jazz music. A musical journey, hard to categorize. This trio definitely found an own voice to the present time. La musique riche en émotions du guitariste et compositeur Jan Trösch, caractérisée par des idées harmoniques et rythmiques complexes, est la source d’inspiration du groupe. Il en résulte un mélange de rock, de jazz et de world. Les trois protagonistes explorent toute une palette d’expressions en délivrant une musique tantôt romantique et intime, tantôt tranchante, tantôt douce ou tantôt rugueuse. Le bassiste Pierre Sottas apporte au groupe une solide assise rythmique mais aussi de grandes aptitudes solistiques. Les influences latines du batteur Urs Wittwer colorent la musique du trio de façon unique et font de chaque concert un grand moment de groove. ________________________________________________________________ i.trio: Drei spannende Musiker haben sichgefunden. Im Vordergrund dieser Band steht das stimmungsreiche Songmaterial des Gitarristen und Komponisten Jan Trösch. Komplexe Songs und frische Sounds sind das Markenzeichen des Initianten. Resultat ist ein Schmelz aus Rock, World und Jazz. Die drei Protagonisten agieren nie nur nett aber auch nie nur laut, die stilistische Spannweite reicht von feinverträumt oder intim, bis scharf, hart und expressiv. Mit dem heraus-ragenden Bassisten Pierre Sottas erhält die Band eine weitere, charakteristische Solistenstimme. Durch das Schlagzeugspiel von Urs Wittwer gewinnt die Musik an Dimension und macht ein Konzert zum groovenden und unverwechselbaren Highlight. Ohne Zweifel fand dieses Trio eine eigene Stimme zur Gegenwart. _________________________________________________________________ i.trio è formato da musicisti che si sono ispirati alle composizioni del fondatore, il chitarrista Jan Trösch. Suoni di chitarra freschi, armonie e ritmi complessi caratterizzano il loro genere. La band riesce a interpretare molti momenti musicali diversi fra loro. La gamma di stili passa da atmosfere dolci e lunari ad altre di carattere più taglienti ed espressive. Il bassista Pierre Sottas contribuisce con il suo stile ritmicamente solido e ottime capacità d improvvisazione. Il batterista Urs Wittwer fornisce una vivace base ritmica. Questi tre componenti convergono verso una musica rock-world-jazz, ossia un viaggio musicale difficile da categorizzare. Il trio ha senz altro trovato la sua propria voce per il suo tempo.
